The Amaryllis Duo maintains a rigorous performing schedule both as an ensemble and individually. The duo has performed for enthusiastic audiences at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Brookline Public Library and many other important venues throughout the Boston and Cape Cod areas. They are pleased to have been invited to perform at Old South Meeting House for the past several years as a part of the First Night Boston Celebration. These performances were both well attended and well received. As active members of the greater Boston musical community, you can also hear the members of The Amaryllis Duo performing as soloists, orchestral members and chamber music collaborators with such groups as the Newton Symphony, New Bedford Symphony, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Boston Civic Symphony, Metrowest Symphony, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Cape Cod Symphony and Willow Flute Ensemble.

Ensemble members have recently been achieved such accolades as being a featured soloist with the New Bedford Symphony, participating in a recording with the Philadelphia Orchestra, winning the National Flute Association's Convention Performer Competition, having a composition premiered at Carnegie Hall. Our outstanding, professional musicians earned degrees from esteemed conservatories, including, Boston Conservatory, Oberlin Conservatory, Curtis Institute and Cleveland Institute of Music.

The flute and harp blend together nicely and have a varied repertoire. The performances of The Amaryllis Duo reflect this with their thoughtful programming. A typical concert for this duo might pair a traditional favorite such as Mozart’s Flute and Harp Concerto or Ravel’s Piece en Forme de Habanera with a more contemporary work by David Noon or John Corigliano, as well as the players’ original compositions and arrangements. This flute and harp duo performs not only to entertain, but also to challenge the musical expectations of their audience.
