Bonnie and
Bryan maintain rigorous schedules as soloists, orchestra musicians, chamber
music collaborators and teachers. They are both conservatory trained musicians
with degrees from Boston Conservatory
and New England Conservatory and have
performed with many ensembles throughout the Boston area and Central Massachusetts.
Bryan was a featured soloist with Symphony
Pro Musica in May 2011, where he perform the Rodrigo Concierto de
Aranjuez. He also recently completed an arrangement of the Bach Flute
Sonata in e minor to be performed by the Cochran-Wrenn Duo during the
upcoming concert season. In the past few years, Bonnie has been pleased
to perform on multiple occasions at the Ogunquit Chamber Music Festival
and First Night Boston as well
as performing the CPE Bach Concerto in D Major in Nashville as a winner
of the National Flute Association’s
Convention Performer Competition. Her compositions have been performed
in Atlanta, Boston, Cape Cod, Washington State and New York, including
a world premiere performance at Carnegie
Hall.
Bryan Wrenn
has played guitar for over twelve years and has a master's degree in guitar
performance from the New England Conservatory
of Music, where he studied with world renowned guitarist Eliot
Fisk. Prior to his time at NEC, he attended Assumption
College in Worcester, MA, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree and
studied classical guitar with Peter
Clemente. He has also studied electric guitar and jazz theory/improvisation
with Joe D’Angelo and Steve Trombley. In addition to his private
studies, he has performed in master classes for Pepe Romero, Benjamin
Verdery, Jason Vieaux, and
Lorenzo Micheli. He works
frequently as a soloist, having played in numerous venues throughout New
England, including Mechanics Hall
in Worcester, MA. Bryan is honored to be performing the Rodrigo Concierto
de Aranjuez as a soloist with Syphony
Pro Musica in May 2011. He has also performed as an orchestral guitarist
throughout central Massachusetts for such groups as the Worcester Jazz
Orchestra, Wachusett Theater
Company, Foothills Theater, Theater at the Mount, and Worcester
County Light Opera. He is also active in music education, both as
a freelance instructor and at the David
French Music Company in Westborough, MA, where he has taught for the
last five years.
